Andalusian International Artists Valtocado Exhibition

Andalusian International ArtistsAndalusian International Artists Group Annual Art Exhibition is taking place in Valtocado, Mijas, at the studio of the Deputy Chairman, Richard Wood. The main focus is given to new work produced in the last year by the members in various media, including oil, acrylic, watercolour and textile. The objective is to intensify the cultural relations between Spain and the multitude of individual artists from diverse backgrounds within their newly adopted environment to an audience within the region of Andalucía.

There will be 15 exhibiting artists, from 7 countries: Richard Wood, Elaine Carlton, Joy Fahey, Ian Hunter, Nigel Short, Olivia Garner, England; Sian Kirkby, Wales; Margit Björklund, Sweden; Auli Suvanto, Finland; Ursula Williams, Peru; Ivan Riis, Denmark; Enrique Linaza, Spain; Philip Magee, Roger Cummiskey and Dolores Cummiskey, Ireland.

The AIA-Group was formed five years ago by professional and dedicated visual artists from around Europe, who are all living and working in Andalucía.

Opening Reception: 11th June 2010, 19:00 – 21:00
Exhibition: 12th June – 13th June 2010, 16:00 – 18:00
