The Mijas International Festival - June 10 2011.

Dancers from FAMA perform at opening of the event

 Dancers from Manuela Veroneses’s well known dance school FAMA, perform their exciting opening set to the music of Corazón composed by Dario Poli and used by The Children for Peace ONLUS  Rome.

The Mijas International Festival is a popular annual two day event, supported by the Mijas Town Hall which celebrates the towns cultural diversity and is organised by the Mijas Council foreigners department and has a participation from over 20 different countries. This event involves street parades, stalls selling various products, music, arts and crafts and folklore performances  as well as international food and drink some of the country participating this year are Brazil, Senegal, Korea, Germany, Cuba, Bulgaria, Morocco, and Vietnam.

With the many stalls from most of the nations was the British stand displaying and selling a variety of  British food and drink products.

Dario Poli

Composer, artist, and a published author and illustrator. He is initiator of the campaign to present a better image Internationally, of Marbella and the Costa del Sol. Composer of the music "Marbella Marbella" used as the anthem of the campaign and also many other recorded compositions including Nostradamus, and Corazon, for The Children for Peace Onlus charity in Rome as well as the co-author of the powerful musical drama Lady X and The Power of Destiny. He is also the editor and a founder member of this website.
