We have chosen this charming musical video “Liberta” sung by Al Bano & Irina Ponarovskaya as a tribute to the many Russian visitors that have visited the “Marbella Marbella”website, reminding us of the positive contribution, made by Russians living and working in Marbella and the Costa Del Sol and are helping develop our internationally integrated community.
I have also enjoyed Russian music since I was a boy, as my father sometimes sang some popular Russian folk tunes to me which never failed to touch my heart, and later as Dario and Delia, my sister and I performed one or two Russian songs which were always well-received by the audiences that we entertained. 
I have just returned from another trip to the City of Berlin, a living monument to historical events that shook the world and saw the Berlin wall, which separated people not only physically, but in spirit. As I walked along the remnants of this lengthy construction, now in parts preserved as an historical edifice, I was amazed at the enormous variety of paintings and powerful images and ideas of liberty that the pulling down of this wall inspired.
The images I saw, reminded me of the emotive song “Liberta” made famous by Al Bano Carrisi and Irina Ponarovskaya; very popular with Russian audiences, as it is a touching reminder of peoples inherent need and love of liberty!
