Adagio - Lara Fabian!
I first discovered the works of Tomaso Albinoni when was about thirteen years old and fell in love with his music and remained a fan of his work throughout my life. So I was delighted when I heard the popular version of his music sung by the very talented Lara Fabian. I thought you might wish to partake of this musical experience.
Tomaso Albinoni was a Venetian musician, principally a violinist, one of a host of instrumental composers who brought the “Baroque” concerto and its relatives. the trio- sonnata  and suite, to a climax of well -ordered expressiveness during the explosive of the opening of the eighteenth Century.
He appears to have been born four years before Vivaldi and some fourteen years before Bach and Handel and during his lifetime, Albinoni composed a large numbers of operas and instrumentals, in what is now considered the classical Baroque style.Â
His compositional brilliance and melodic originality has bean re-discovered by present- day composers and fans, especially illustrated by his most popular work “Adagio For Strings and Organ,” which has been arranged to suit today’s popular culture with lyrics in Italian and English written and sung by the superb Belgian born singer of Italian /Flemish origins, the beautiful and talented Lara Fabian, who you will see by this evocative video,  creates a magic of Albinoni’s music, by her incredible and sensitive performance.
