Marbella Marbella Adelante Welcomes Shideh Olafsson an Exciting Talent to the Coast
SHIDEH OLAFSSON
Having started her career as a journalist and then an editor of a pop culture magazine at the young age of 18, Shideh has been in the media industry since, working mainly in the fashion world.
After leaving New Zealand in 1998, Shideh ventured over the sea to Australia where she set up her own magazine that ran for 2 years. She then embarked on a journey of discovery around Europe for one year then returning to New Zealand to work as a media director, graphic designer and ultimately, a fashion director for one of the country’s top magazines.
It was after she had her daughter that Shideh then realised she needed to start working for herself, and therefore opened a PR company with a fellow journalist. Together, they launched Coco PR in January of 2007 which quickly became one of the biggest PR showrooms in New Zealand representing 21 fashion labels both locally and internationally.
After relocating to Malta for a lifestyle change, Shideh has gone on to own a European modelling agency as well as an event management company putting on seasonal fashion shows incorporating some of the best in innovative European fashion designers.
Shideh and her family relocated to the Costa del Sol in January of 2012 where she is still running fashion events and placing models all over the world (models currently working in China, UK, Turkey and Mexico).
She is now establishing herself on the Coast with a view of developing an original, raw and very alternative fashion scene full of events and productions working with companies both locally and internationally.
