David and Samantha Mairs Appearing at the Valparaiso
David and Samantha Mairs have joined musical forces, to perform their special brand of entertainment in the beautiful and popular Valparaiso restaurant situated on the Mijas road. The combination of their undoubted talents and the great food and service from the staff of the restaurant, led by its owners Raffaele and Vittorio Morelli, should make it a memorable evening for all the guests to experience and enjoy.
David Mairs a long time musical professional, is one of the foremost and respected musicians on the coast, with an large following of fans. David‘s career began at 15yrs old as an organ player and as his emerging talent became noticed by his peers. He began to work with many top bands in Scotland and performed with names such as The Searchers, The Easybeats, The Tremelos, Love Affair, Edison Lighthouse and many more. He later emigrated to the Costa del Sol in 1991 where he met and worked with singer song writer Mel Williams arranging the music for Mel‘s stage productions “Professor Fossil” and “Don Zabatel.”
Then came live TV performing the music for Maurice Boland‘s breakfast show where he worked with Lonny Donegan, Mike McGere, Bonny Langford, Linda Nolan and international band Smokey (living next door to Alice). As well as the above, he is currently working with musical composer Dario Poli, and in David’s studio, they created the song “Corazon” used by the UNESCO recognised charity, The Children for Peace Onlus based in Rome. ( Seen On Youtube). David’s emotive song “Your Beautiful,” was also used recently in the charity’s video to help raise much-needed funds.
David is a dedicated supporter and energetic worker for various charities and his wife, Linda organised a successful charity event at Mijas Playa to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research and invited the cream of Costa del Sol‘s talent to help, with popular radio presenter Maurice Boland who compared the event.
Samantha Mairs
Professional singer / entertainer Samantha Mairs, David’s dedicated talented and versatile daughter, is following in her fathers footstep as she has built up a large fan base in her own right both in Spain and Scotland and was one of the first to sing Dario’s music “Marbella Marbella” which hit many air ways receiving much media attention, Samantha vocal skills were required again and she was brought in especially, to sing on the complex song “Corazon” mentioned above.
Samantha has also made some excellent CD recordings including original material by David which can be purchased at each venue. She performs her material in her own inimitable style with verve and intensity and sings a extensive number of the most popular and contemporary songs.
On special occasions such as at the Valparaiso on Tuesday she sings with her father, a musical combination that is guaranteed to give much pleasure to the delighted audience who hear them.
