Wendy Van der Veen - On a mission to promote greater social harmony. Sur In English
At Marbella Marbella Adelante, we have many interesting creative people who write for us, and one of those is the straight forward, no nonsense Dutch business woman Wendy Van der Veen, who is very well known not only in her City Fuengirola, but all along the Costa del Sol for her progressive ideas, courage, stubbornness against the odds, and determination in her work and efforts to help communities and charities, improve and advance their agendas. Her latest endeavour is her involvement is with the Black and White Association (B&W), which you can read about in the well written Sur in English article above. She also maintains good relationships with many people and has worked with another business woman Jennie Thompson, also seen in the article.
It was not so long ago the Wendy worked with the famous British actor and film star Oliver Tobias for Age Concern España that was included in one of our previous articles on this site, in which Jennie Thompson was also involved.
We thank Wendy for her invaluable work in the community, her cheerful positivity and her refusal to give up when things seem impossible. It’s a valuable reminder to the rest of us of what can be achieved with some effort.
Well done Wendy; we look forward to your next article for us.
