The original painting “Plague” by Dario Poli was first published in a book titled “The Prophecies of Nostradamus” by Studio Editions London Ltd and Random House Ltd and also in “Dei Propheziungen des Nostradamus” by Karl Muller Verlag. AG in Germany and in a Dutch edition seen below.
Michel de Nostradame was born in Provence on the 14th December 1503 and died in July 1566. He dedicated the sixty-three tumultuous years of his life to medicine, astrology and philosophy and became the greatest prophet of his age, advising the most eminent rulers of his day.
To avoid persecution as a heretic, he recorded his many visions in a secret code and deliberately confused the time sequences of these future events. He was witness to terrifying and catastrophic future events, which he continued to set down in his writings in the hope that his warnings would be heeded.
His writings passed down the generations are a grim warning to us all. The future salvation of humanity is in our own hands. (Text from the CD “Nostradamus”  music and text by Dario Poli and Roberto Danova on the Plaza Record label)
