"Reflections" By Christopher Stone

First things first!  I am the eternal optimist, a believer in fate, and the Butterfly effect, and I believe we reap what we sow, as I know Dario does also.

Christopher Stone in New York

Early last year through some of the above I made contact with Stephen Howes, as I was looking for serious representation in my field, Stephen and I maintained a dialogue through emails, a little later I travelled down from Ibiza to Marbella and we met, first impressions are important to me, and my first impression of Stephen was an eager to please, hospitable, and most of all honest person, we shook hands on a deal over “Tapas.”

Our relationship has gone from business to becoming friends, and he has managed in these sorry times to promote my work well, listen to my ramblings, and be a shoulder to lean on, he has a stable of many artists, and I realize I am not the only one who need encouraging, but he has given me all the time I have needed, and I am very grateful for this, I value the friendship part above all else, however I have to eat, and Stephen through his expertise has put bread on my table. Thank you Stephen.

Through Stephens’s promotion of myself he introduced me to Dario Poli through the Marbella Marbella web site. As I like to write I offered Dario an article, he readily agreed, and off it went, I am on my fifth or sixth so far with more coming.

Early this week I called Dario and we had a LLLOOONNNGGGG chat, we went through it all, the outcome is that we are like-minded people. During this chat Dario came up with several very exciting ideas, including ways in which we can help ourselves through helping others, I shall let Dario introduce these ideas to you himself, watch this space! Thank you Dario.

Dario’s also had ideas regarding Stephen Howe’s mammoth art show to be held from 31st March through May 4th this year at the Marbella casino, “A million euros of Art” is the title of this show, which promises to be one of the finest collective art exhibition held in Andalucia, many artists taken from Stephen’s stable will be taking part, names well known on the international art circuit including Don Clarke, (See my article on Don here) Rolf Harris, Gino Hollander, etc, etc, etc, my apologies to all the others I have not mentioned, I promise to get around to that a little later. Stephen and Dario will be meeting next week to polish their ideas. By the way the show will hold a big surprise for other organizations featured on Dario’s web site, again “watch this space”!

I am overjoyed that things are going this way, I am especially grateful to Dario for his Ideas, his untiring help, and his enthusiasm, and of course to all the members if the Marbella team, who are doing a great job, and doing it well.

There is so much to say, so many things to share, too many for one article, I do encourage you to keep stopping by, I am sure that almost every day something will unfold.

My gratitude is also extended to all the contributors whom I hope to meet in March, and of course to you guys, the readers, with out you none of this would matter.

Christopher

All the best.

Chris.

  • Hello Chris.
It was great reading your optimistic story. As a wannabee optimist I can learn a lot from you. I can see that your LLLOOONNNGGGG chat with Dario must have contributed since I just had one too. Long and yet too short and very inspiring. Since you are a like-minded person I am looking forward to meeting you.
Unfortunately I have not been able to have a look at your work at Stephen Howes. There is just too much to do in too litle time before leaving. I will definitely try to be back in Marbella before March 31 for the "Million euros of Art" event and hope to meet you all there.
