Marbella helps Haiti
If anyone can bring the great and the good people of Marbella together, especially in aid of an emergency cause, it is Charlotte, Sandra and Lucas.Their appeal literally went out days after the Haiti tragedy for people to rally round and raise desperately needed funds. Chateau Mona Lisa was the venue and guests literally arrived in their droves to support the people of Haiti.
On arrival they had welcome cocktails followed by a sumptuous dinner. Raffle tickets were sold on the night, with generous prizes donated by Dreamers, Salamanca, Sinatra’s, and Arno Valere, Aretusa, and The Orchid Room among many other local businesses, as well as numerous cash donations.
Paul whose cousins are still missing made a heartfelt speech urging everyone ‘to dig deep into their pockets.’
The evening was rounded off with live music by DJ’s Nilo and Juan Patata.
A staggering 3,153 euros was raised on the night of which 100 per cent will be sent to ‘Doctors without Frontiers.’
‘’We send our prayers out to the people of Haiti and their families.’
