“Angel In Blue” – General Lafayette
I first heard the music of Angel in Blue many years ago whilst I was driving home from the south of England at about 5 o’clock in the morning. I was feeling rather emotionally drained, having just had some sad news about a dear friend and was now experiencing one of life’s darker periods.
I was numbed to say the least. For no particular reason I switched on the car radio and from an early morning BBC broadcast, this beautiful music filled my ears and in a few moments, lifted up my spirits. Pondering on the mind and soul of the composer of this music, I was able to return home in a better frame of mind.
More amazingly, about two days later, my then publisher John Nice of Valentine Music London , phoned to tell me, he had a certain Roberto Danova in his office asking after me, and he put us in touch. Since that day Roberto and I have remained good friends and have collaborated on an original musical production Nostradamus.

General Lafayette is the creation of composer, arranger and producer Roberto Danova whose prolific song writing has resulted in over 80 Lafayette recordings. I used to own this very tune & would play it again & again & again I also used to play it for my ex's son when was just a baby & it would put him to sleep in no time or if he was upset it would calm him down. I first heard it played on my local radio station Manx radio & knew I wanted it.

It’s great music indeed and because of it, I met the composer Roberto Danova and we became good friends and eventually worked together. nice story about your baby boy and the soothing effect that “Angel in Blue” had on him. A good way to introduce a child to good music.
