I recently returned from the inaugural Gala held in the beautiful City of the Hague for the Peace, Justice and Security Foundation as I had been asked to create a new song / anthem especially for them titled “Ever Changing World” with talented David Mairs who wrote brilliant lyrics. We were therefore invited as guests, but sadly David could not make it.
I confess was rather tired out by it all, as there was so much to do beforehand to get there, but in the end but it was well worth it, as the gala was a great success, attended by about 200 hundred of the most esteemed personages of the legal and political world, the some exceptions one being my good self, who was simply an artist, Walter van Teeffelen writer journalist  and TV Medium Carolien De Bree who was also invited to attend.
Before entering the main hall, we were met by dozens of photographers and videographers captured images of the participants and celebrities in various combinations. On show there were also some works of art to admire that would be auctioned later in the evening to increase the resources of the new Foundation.
The Foundation is the brainchild of a few determined individuals operating in The Hague in the international institutions for peace and security, in particular the International Criminal Court.
Two I can mention are Florence Olara and Philipp Amann. The Foundation aims to raise awareness of cruel, oppressive and sometimes horrible events in the light of law, justice, peace and security around the world, by taking concrete actions.
Sharon Stone made amazing speech during the event and took over an auction with such effect and professionalism that we were left speechless by her talents. When I met her informally she was really humble and gentle. In attendance were High Commissioner Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, President Fernandez of the ICC, Director of Europol Rob Wainwright, Professor Dr. Mary Aiken, and Dr. Marco Gercke giving incredible speeches on global issues and supported by Cinema for Peace.
Great speeches were made by event organizer Florence Olara, and Victor Ochen of the PJS Foundation, the founder of the African Youth Initiative Network ( AYINET) the Youngest African Nobel Peace Prize Nominee made a fine speech, as did Germany’s leading actress Katja Riemann winner of of national and international awards and we the audience were touched by the very emotionally charged but true story of Emanuel Jal who very modestly, told the audience about some of his experiences as a forced child soldier in Africa and is now teaching children, how to find their lives again with the help of education care and love.
I was introduced to Supriya Vani from India, the author of an upcoming book on Sixteen Nobel Peace Laureates including interviews with them child soldier in Africa and is now teaching children, how to find their lives again with the help of education care and love.

Surprising but a little proud, I was one of a tiny tiny handful, who was presented with a signed copy of a new book titled “The Cyber Effect” written by Dr Mary Atkin one of the world’s top Cyber criminologist.
The CBS Hollywood Series “CSI: Cyber,” was inspired by her work and she is an advisor to Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre and works with multiple global agencies
from INTERPOL to the FBI and the White House. She likes the anthem “Ever Changing World” created for the foundation. All in all many great inspiring speeches were made by many top personalities, some of whom had suffered from wars and deprivation. The experience was not only inspiring for those of us in the audience, but truly humbling to realise, how lucky and easy we have things in our own lives.
