Manuela's unforgettable evening at the Children For Peace Concert
Following a very busy winter and spring schedules, I once again had the pleasure to assist the Children For Peace charity in a superb concert on the 23rd of June this year, held at the Tennis Court of the beautiful Hotel Puente Romano in Marbella; the event attracting heavy support from the expectant public.
It was so nice to have been invited to participate again by the President Debbie Mace and Vice- President Lamia Khashoggi, and once again my students from the Academia Fama, were honoured by representing the children of the world, by entering the designated area carrying 32 flags from different countries at the beginning of the concert, graced by the distinguished presence of Montserrat Caballé, her daughter Montserrat Marti, the Russian tenor Nikolay Baskov and author and International film star Marisa Berenson.
All my children are from different nationalities, so 3 of them , from Gambia, Morocco and Holland, welcomed the President of CHILDREN FOR PEACE, Debbie Mace who then opened the evening after she had personally given hugs to these children. All my children went home with this memory of a fantastic event and the pride to have participated in helping other children in need in this world.
It was also a personal pleasure for me and I was delighted to meet so many celebrities again and say hello to the Princess Marie-Louise of Prussia, for who I organized the show of the Concordia Christmas Gala 2011.
And again it was a wonderful moment to meet the composer Dario Poli who presented me to the so well-known international journalist Michael Kirtley who had come to see this important event.
After listening to the wonderful voices of Montserrat Caballé and her daughter, I can only say it was again an unforgettable evening which made a great impression on me and the children in attendance.
A special concert that I am sure, will inspire me and the children of FAMA to even greater heights of achievements knowing that whenever we can do and give, will help those other children who are living in conditions of dire need.
