It’s not everyday that I discover a restaurant of exemplary standards, but when I do, it’s a most satisfying experience, just as important for me as the excitement of hearing a new piece of music or reading good literature.
I very rarely recommend restaurants, as a lot depends on ones personal taste and ideas. However on this occasion I have stuck my neck out and I do recommend anyone, who enjoys good food, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented, served with professionalism and style, to pay this modern elegant establishment a visit. Hello, my name is Franco Pellegrino I am chef and the owner of Zena2.0. I have often related that I started to learn to cook when I was a child, inspired by my mother who was a fantastic cook and gave me the first pleasurable experiences in the preparation of and eating good food. I began to work in Italy, in my village called Chiavari near Portofino and Genova, where I learned to bake typical bread and prepare local specialities, investigating and learning about the most important and typical Italian recipes.
I later started a tour of International cuisine, which brought me to work and live in Barcelona, then in San Sebastian and in Marbella, I worked for many years in a fantastic Italian restaurant called “Rosmarino”, and any I time a took a holiday I soon discovered new restaurants and new food.
When my culinary education was completed, along with my wife Aurora, I opened “Zena restaurante Italiano” in the old town of Fuengirola, and after 5 years, our little daughter Clelia was born and my wife then decided to retire to devote her time, care and love to our baby.
Just recently I moved the restaurant to the new premises on the Paseo Maritimo at the “Yaramar Hotel” and we start Zena2.0, and joining us, we have collaborated with Emilio, a Maître of considerable reputation and popularity. Our target is to offer the best meal with the best service that our customers can enjoy. It’s the Zena2.0 experience!!!
