Welsh Tenor Stephen Lloyd-Morgan has become highly acclaimed since he moved to Marbella four years ago. His popularity has now spread to other parts of Spain, back in the UK, to the US and now beyond.

Steve is a professionally trained singer, having studied opera at the Welsh College of Music and Drama and Musical Theatre at the Mountview Academy of Performing Arts in London. He has since performed in a number of musicals and operas both in the UK and Ireland.

Press reviews have described him as “one of the finest discoveries the Costa has ever seen”, “he has the quality and talent to be the Welsh Andrea Bocelli”, “Steve’s great voice makes him a true ambassador for Marbella”. “the latest singing sensation to sweep the coast”, and of his recent performances, including those with The Marbella Concert Orchestra, as “world class”, “outstanding”, and he “wowed the audience”.

Steve’s recent sell-out concerts and performances include a wide ranging repertoire with a mixture of Musical Theatre, Opera and Cross-Over, sung in English, Spanish and Italian. Including numbers such as Nella Fantasia, O Sole Mio, Sunset Boulevard, Granada, Nessun Dorma, Arranjuez Con Tu Amor, Notte Di Luce, The Prayer and Con Te Partiro to name but a few!

His recent charity Album also included the more contemporary, with renditions of Hallelujah, Ognuno Soffre (the Italian version of REM’s hit Everybody Hurts), and Dyrchefir Fi (the Welsh version of You Raise Me Up).

Steve is often invited to appear at charity events, and this autumn will see his third guest performance with a Welsh Choir touring Spain, which will raise funds for The Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice, of which he is a dedicated supporter.

From large scale concerts, charity events, or the more intimate after-dinner performance, Steve never fails to enthral an audience with his powerful voice and performance as well as his evident joy and passion!

In September 2010, Steve was delighted to accept an invitation to be a part of the Golden Book of the 100 of Marbella, which celebrates Marbella and its entrepreneurs, professionals, businessmen and women who have been contributing to the growth and development of Marbella in the past and particularly in 2010. Steve has been recognised for `his great voice and talent which have made him a true ambassador for Marbella and also for his numerous charity performances’.  www.slmlive.com/marbella100  Steve sung at the Gala to launch this year’s book in October and at the Essential Marbella Awards Gala Night in November which was where Louise had the pleasure of watching this immense talent.

Steve is looking forward to performances in other parts of Spain, Europe, the US and the UK in the autumn and in the spring of 2011. He is also very excited about the large scale concerts coming to Marbella next summer which will include many very well know artists and musicians flying in from the UK.
