Paul Wilcockson LMPA at Made in Italy Gala
Last Thursday, the 3rd December at 8pm, in the Gran Meliá Don Pepe Hotel, the Made in Italy Gala took place, where Elizabeth Thompson received her guests in an intimate and welcoming dinner. Samar Abou-Farah from La Difference cunited with Caribbean Glamour in this Italian adventure, to present the first event of the Christmas month, working with the modelling agency Nueva Moda and raising money for the Cesare Scariolo Foundation.
The Maseratis from C. de Salamanca shone in the entrance of the hotel, leading the guests onto a cocktail reception that included the presence of Franco Carroza, the owner of CADEMA wine cellars. His wines were enjoyed in the cocktail reception along with ham offered by Doncella Beach and the fabulous granna pandano cheese from Da Bruno. Because I was working, I was unable to sample the fine wines! However, both the exquisite ham and pandano cheese were an absolute delight.
Marco Valente’s jewellery surprised guests with the quality, the exceptional combination of precious stones and the current and purely Italian design. The jeweller captivated with his kindness and radiated sympathy with the media as well as the ladies, who did not hesitate in asking him questions about his unique pieces, which were presented in Marbella for the first time. During the dinner, there was a catwalk show of the jewellery emphasized by elegance and the live music by Cristina and Vicky from Pino Palma Productions that accompanied every step.
Finally, Giuseppe di Claudio delivered the silver president medal from the Congress of Representatives to Elizabeth Thompson, for her hard work as an ambassador for her country abroad. The perfect end came from the beautiful models from Nueva Moda Productions, who offered an Italian fashion show.
Photographing this event was a true pleasure – it is always the personalities who create the evening and this was no exception. I was very pleased to see Kristina Szekely again, supporting as she always does, highlighting the many talented people and businesses in Marbella and the Costa del Sol.
