MARBELLA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2011 PROGRAM
 The Marbella International Film Festival will inaugurate its 7th annual festival season on June 30th with an invitation only Oscar Nite to be held at the H10 Andalucia Plaza. There will be a cocktail party and a showing of “The King’s Speech” in english. A series of buffet dinners and oscar winning films will be held monthly. As spaces are limited, priority will be given to patrons of the festival (see our website www.marbellafilmfestival.com).
 The outdoor summer program is scheduled for August 21 – 28 in collaboration with the Marbella Casino, Target and the Marbella Ayuntamiento.Â
Former winners of past festivals and films that received special merit will be shown, free of charge, in Antonio Banderas Plaza (across from El Corte Inglese) each evening beginning at 21:00.Â
Last year’s event was attended by very enthusiastic audiences. This is a chance to see some of the best international independent films made, under the stars in beautiful Puerto Banus.
 The Marbella International Film Festival will be held at the H10 Andalucia Plaza in collaboration with the Marbella Casino Oct. 14-15-16. There will be an invitation only inaugural party for participants and guests at the Casino on Friday night. Films will be shown in the hotel for the three days. Special parties will also be held in various locations and a gala awards dinner will end the festival on Sunday, Oct. 16.
 The 2010 edition of the festival was attended by over 150 filmmakers from all corners of the world. 50 films competed for the awards which are given for best documentary, best feature, best animation, best short and best short-short. An additional award is given to the winner of the 24 hour Challenge which is held during the fall festival.
