Ángeles Muñoz hopes for no demolitions

Ángeles Muñoz, speaking at the Forum Europa Tribuna Andalucía on Friday, said she hopes that there will be no demolitions of illegal property in the town. 550 homes have been left outside the new PGOU for the municipality, as they do not comply with the regional regulations on town planning, but despite that the Town Hall has always defended the policy of no demolitions. Muñoz has said that she will look for a better formula than demolition to solve the problem.

“I hope the judges take into account that these homes had a licence to build, that they are registered in the census, that mortgages have been granted on them”. She lamented that the town had not been given the attention promised to it by both the regional and central government when the previous Town Hall was dissolved in 2006, and ended by saying “Nobody doubt that we are working in the Town Hall to give an alternative to these families”.
