Two Composers, Two Songs, One Aim - To help The Children for Peace ONLUS with Corazon.

Composers Dario Poli and David Mairs have for almost two years, become dedicated in supporting the International charity “The Children for Peace ONLUS, based in Rome gain more recognition, by the use of their specially composed musical compositions. The charity was established  to help assist and support children living in dire situations.

Dario and David collaborated musically by producing their first musical composition “Corazón“which was accepted by the charity immediately.

“Corazón can simply be described as a superb and most appropriate ‘anthem’ for The Children for Peace Charity; memorable, upbeat and inspiring, rolled into one. Congratulations!” – Stephen Lloyd-Morgan  a celebrated tenor, who performed at The Children For Peace Gala.

Corazón was used in a photographic slide show produced by Paul Wilcockson LMPA and can be seen on you tube and on The Children for Peace website www.thechildrenforpeace.com

A song titled “You’re Beautiful” initially created for their joint CD album “Living in the Sun,” was at Dario’s suggestion, specially arranged and adapted for The Children for Peace. Debbi Mace the President after hearing it, praised it highly indeed

Dario and David were both born and raised in Scotland, and as well as having  worked thorough almost the entire spectrum of popular music and show business, also share that special Celtic feeling for music which can be clearly distinguished in their work

They are both delighted to know that Corazón, will be presented live at the next fund raising Gala event, held at the exclusive Hotel Villa Padierna Marbella on 4 June 2011.

Corazón will be presented at the Gala show supported by a number of singing and dancing children, choreographed and prepared by the talented dance teacher Manuela Veronese of FAMA.

The Children For Peace

The Children for Peace (ONLUS) is an Italian NGO founded with the express purpose of assisting children worldwide who are in need of fundamental survival support.  The Children for Peace (ONLUS) has taken on the cause of such children internationally and intends to pursue all possible avenues to provide them with the help and support that will allow for the best possible chance at a better future.

Children are caught in the wars of illiteracy, of armed conflict, of hunger, starvation, illness, and of isolation from opportunity. Although the task of remedying such situations is great, and often, to others, impossible, we know that the only way adversity is overcome is to confront it head-on and take all necessary actions to create change. It is with this in mind, that The Children for Peace was founded.
They recently received recognition from UNESCO for their work, of which they are very proud.

All donations they receive go directly to the projects they help fund. They pay no salaries and no overhead except for annual fee paid to our accounting firm that files all documents required for the government in Italy.

The 2nd annual Benefit Gala, celebrating children, will take place in Marbella, Spain, at the “Hotel Villa Padierna“. Model, actress, writer and humanitarian, and UNESCO Artist for Peace, Marisa Berenson, our Honorary Chairwoman, welcomes you.
