Chinese New Year celebrations at BSM
Children and teachers welcomed in the Chinese New Year at the British School of Marbella by dressing up in colourful costumes last Friday 20th February.
The youngsters, who study Mandarin Chinese at the school, made blossom pictures, Chinese knots and painted the zodiac animal from the year they were born as part of the celebrations to welcome the year of the goat.
An assortment of delicious Chinese food that was sent in by parents was also eaten following a party for the pupils.
BSM Headmistress Sian Kirkham, said: “The children brought a burst of colour to school on Friday dressed in their Chinese costumes. It was lovely to see the children having such an enjoyable time while learning so many interesting facts about this popular Chinese celebration.”
