Marbella International Property Show, 28-31 May
Set in the opulent surroundings of Villa Padierna Palace Hotel in Benahavís, Marbella – the exclusive establishment patronised by American First Lady Michelle Obama on her 2010 visit to the region – I attended the press conference* launching MIPS 2013: the Marbella International Property Show and Investment Forum to be held at Villa Padierna from 28th to 31st May.
Targeting residential tourists from Russia, Scandinavia, Asia, the Middle East and the rest of Northern Europe, Proprietor of the distinguished 6 Star venue and President of the Andalusian Federation of Developers and Residential Tourism, Ricardo Arranz de Miguel, welcomed 25 invited press representatives to Villa Padierna Golf Club gardens.
Speaking of the importance of promoting prestigious properties ranging from €300,000 to over €1 million within the Marbella-Benahavís-Estepona ‘Golden Triangle’, MIPS will showcase 2,300 properties and aims to sell 20-30 new residences each day. Throughout the event, various “Golf Days” will provide excellent networking opportunities for exhibiting companies.
Day 1 will focus on the Russian market
Day 2 will target Scandinavia and Germany
Day 3 will focus on the Middle East
Day 4 will attract Asian buyers
Mayor of Benahavís, José Antonio Mena and Villa Padierna Estates Commercial Director, Kandy Paterson, emphasised MIPS’ importance as a means of “opening the doors” to potential buyers who are increasingly choosing the Costa del Sol as their full or part-time base.
