SONRISA STUDIOS BRINGS THE WEST END TO MARBELLA WITH THE PRODUCTION OF ‘SPRINGTIME IN PARIS’
Sonrisa Studios, ideally located in central Marbella, was undoubtedly the only place to be to enjoy a mind-blowing performance that would have been applauded in the West End or even on Broadway, putting Marbella firmly at the heart and centre of culture and entertainment, bringing back the glamour that was the hallmark of its fairly recent and best remembered past.
The fully booked performance of ‘Springtime in Paris’ was theatrically jaw-dropping, funky but romantic. The four dancers, Carmen, Amanda, Fernanda and Julia choreographed by the European renowned Caterina Chisesi together with their costumes, would not have looked out of place on a Stella McCartney catwalk; they quite literally blew the audience away not only with their outstanding performance but their mesmerising stage presence.
With such hits as Diamonds, Copacabana, Liber Tango, Fever and the Can Can the rapturous applause they received was richly deserved.
In a nutshell, the performance of ‘Springtime in Paris’ was a highly charged, provocative, professional show-stopping production which will be the first of many throughout the coming Summer months; they may even give Cameron Mackintosh some theatrical food for thought, here on the Costa del Sol, in the coming months.
