Going green in word and deed…

Marbella’s countless natural assets are associated with all the finer things in life – unbeatable climate, world class establishments and resident and visitor communities who know a good thing when they see it.

Which is why a groovy green venture is really taking off just 5 minutes from Marbella Central Bus Station as a fitting complement to the gold-tinged locations synonymous with the town.

Alcaldesa of Marbella

Arboretum Marbella is the ‘People’s Forest’“a living collection of trees and other woody plants located in the same space and provided with its own research, exhibition and conservation.” This innovative community project invites groups and individuals of all ages to do our bit to offset the carbon emissions we use in our busy daily lives.

Taking less than an hour of your precious time, you’ll learn from Arboretum Marbella’s knowledgeable team about the importance of trees and shrubs both for land regeneration and to help cleanse the atmosphere before embarking on 15 minutes of hands-on fun as you physically plant the native trees and shrubs that will take root and burst into life in the months and years to come.

Proving that editorial doesn’t come cheap and keen to build on Marbella’s beautiful natural environment, Pro Write and Edit were invited to put our money where our mouth is by planting five trees to offset the CO2 emissions from paper used to publish TOUT Magazine – World of Luxury …look out for the full story with photos in TOUT’s December 2011-January 2012 edition. Better still, head over to Marbella yourself and get planting – it’ll do you good and the local environment as well!
