May performances at the Marbella Palace of Exhibitions
Marbella City Council has published a full list of events and concerts for the month of May at the Palace of Exhibitions, Conferences and Expositions.
The first was held Friday, May 7th, a ‘Tribute to Duo Arenal’, organised in collaboration with the municipal offices of citizenship and festivities. The tribute was held in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the local folk music group and its involvement in the development of Marbella’s culture on its 20th anniversary.
On Saturday, May 8, there was a new concert in the ‘Saturday Music’ series, under the direction of composer José Luis Zafra. Billed as a ‘Concert of Classical Music and Family Fun’, this series showcased young talents in classical music.
On Friday, May 14, at 21:00, the Convention Centre will host a performance by ‘Pepe el Marismeño’. Tickets will be on sale in the English Court and the Palace in coming days. During his performance, Pepe will be accompanied by five musicians with piano, bass, percussion and two guitars, and two back-up vocalists.
Building on this show, the same group will present Pepe ‘Konfusion’, with the singer Fran Terrén. The performers in ‘Pepe’ are described as a new generation of artists from AndalucÃa.
Finally, on Thursday, May 27, at 21:00, Russian pop singer Kristina Orbakaite performs, accompanied by orchestra and the ballet troupe ‘Limita Extrim’. Orbakaite kicks off her tour of Spain in this performance, to continue in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia.
