Lionel Messi soon back in action
Barcelona’s star striker, Lionel Messi trained on Tuesday at a private beach in Abu Dhabi. Messi, who is recovering from an ankle injury, is still doubtful of playing against CONCACAF champions Atlante on Wednesday in the semi final of the Club World Cup.
The Argentinean injured his right ankle at a party hosted by FC Dynamo Kiev. Messi trained for an hour on the beach, which is a part of the complex of hotel Shangri.
FC Barcelona said in a statement on Tuesday that training session was planned to keep Messi in touch with the game.
Earlier ‘The European Champions’ captain, Carles Puyol had said that his teem is keen on ending a brilliant year with the world title that has eluded them till yet. Barcelona lost 1-0 to Internacional of Brazil in the final of the same tournament held in Japan three years ago.
